'Imperial Letters Of Protection' is thirteen tracks of hardcore intelligent ultra political rap that aims some very serious accusations at the door of the current U.S. government. The music here is seriously bugged out, intense kinetic and very dangerous. As far removed from what today's mainstream hip hop scene is as you can imagine but if I heard this twenty years ago it would have scared me half to death. One of the most important hip hop albums of the year, needed listening for the brave.
